Lights, Camera, Active!

Active Production and Design launches Video Production Services Department.

On June 8th, 2010 Active Production and Design announced that they are providing video production services to their already “full” production services….officially. Active is answering the call of their clients whose budgets are tighter and are looking to streamline their meetings and vendors. Though the service is not really “new”, (Active has provided this service, by request, to clients), the service is now offered as a completely separate branch for current and future clients.

Our clients asked us to produce their videos and we thought…why not? It’s about giving your customer all you have and we strive to have it all here,” Matt Clouser, President.

To learn more about Active Production and Design visit their website at www.activeproductionanddesign.com or call (404) 633-3527.

CCP Events, Inc., Extends its Reach in Social Event Production

Acquisition of "EventScapes" enables expansion of social event design

Atlanta, GA - July 9, 2010. In a bold move defying a sluggish economy, CCP Events Inc. is on the move to grow its business by adding a rival - and partner - into the fold. CCP announced today that it has purchased the name and assets of EventScapes, a well-known, Atlanta-based social event design and production company.

"We've faced EventScapes over the years as a competitor in the market, but have also enjoyed a long tenure of partnering with the firm in producing outstanding corporate events. A fortuitous set of timing and situations made it possible to combine forces to expand our client base and scope of services," said Terry Singleton, CSEP, President of CCP Events, Inc.

While the two companies will become one, the EventScapes brand will remain. EventScapes will operate as a division of CCP Events, maintaining a focus on social event decorating, including but not limited to weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs.

The social event production industry, comprised of weddings, anniversaries, reunions, quinceañeras, bar/bat mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, debutant balls and a growing number of private parties for the socialite scene, is estimated to be a $120 billion dollar marketplace. Professional event firms spend years cultivating relationships to assure reliability, professionalism and satisfaction for their clients. "You have one opportunity to plan the perfect event. There are no re-takes," added Singleton. "Clients expect creativity, attention to detail, multitasking abilities and flawless execution. CCP Events has been creating unique and memorable events for more than 17 years. We are looking forward to bringing in additional experience and expertise with the addition of J. Wilbur Smith and his team to add new dimensions and raise the bar in social event production."

    Dear Ms. Bonner:

Thank you for contacting me to express your opinions regarding Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) and its effect on business travel. I appreciate hearing from you and having the benefit of your views.

As you know, the past six months have been a period of tremendous financial upheaval in our county. From the sub-prime mortgage bubble, to the lack of available credit for individuals and small businesses, it is clear that we are in uncharted waters. Indeed, not since the 1930's have Americans held this much fear about their finances. As a result, the public and the media are hungry for scapegoats.

I strongly believe that this is a time for prudence. It is tempting to want to score political points by finding easy villains, but we have seen what happens when we are quick act. As you may know, Senator Kerry's recent legislation regarding TARP reform does not reflect the bill that recently passed the House. However, you can be assured that I am carefully considering the impact that any TARP reform measures will have for legitimate businesses and will keep your thoughts in mind should these proposals come before the House for a vote.

Again, thank for your correspondence and I hope that you will continue to contact me about issues that are of concern to you. In the future, please feel free to visit my web site at http://www.house.gov/johnlewis for more information on legislation that interests you and to sign up for my e-newsletter.

    Sincerely,

    John Lewis
